In 2018: “When FDR entertained the proposal to change the number of justices, it was because there was a Supreme Court that steadfastly refused to support or tolerate a wide range of legislation that reflected the popular will at the time. We’re not there yet, and I hope we don’t get there.” 3

“For the past fifty years, Democrats have debased themselves in Supreme Court confirmation hearings with child-like antics, character assassinations, and straight up defamation. Chris Coons pretends to be pragmatic, but he’s a lapdog for Chuck Schumer. In more of his mental gymnastics, Coons now says that confirming Judge Barrett would be court-packing. Either he knows better or he has reverted to the ‘bearded Marxist’ he wanted to be in college.”

- At Amherst College, Coons wrote an article entitled: “Chris Coons: The Making of a Bearded Marxist.” Coons wrote: “My friends now joke that something about Kenya, maybe the strange diet, or the tropical sun, changed my personality; Africa to them seems a catalytic converter that takes in clean-shaven, clear-thinking Americans and sends back bearded Marxists.”4
- Coons opposed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have protected infants who survive a botched abortion.5
